For D.O. Licensure Renewal, the Board requires a total of 32 CME hours, 16 of which must be earned through AOA Category 1A or 1B activities.

A three-hour CME course which has been approved by the WV Board of Osteopathic Medicine must be completed by any licensee of the Board who prescribes, administers or dispenses a controlled substance. This will be required every two-year licensing period, unless the licensee signs a board waiver indicating she/he has not administered, prescribed, or dispensed a controlled substance during the last two-year licensing period.
