COURSE TYPES:
Student
- 2 day or 2.5 day course for physicians; worth 19 CME credits or 19.5 CME credits respectively.
Student Refresher
- ½ day or 1 day course for "refreshing" ATLS® status; worth 5 CME credits or 7.5 CME credits respectively.
Student / Student Refresher
- 2 day or 2.5 day combo course for attaining and refreshing ATLS status; worth 19 CME credits or 19.5 CME credits respectively.
Instructor Course
- 1 day or 1.5 day course ONLY for physicians who where identified as having "Instructor potential" in a previous Student course; worth 15 CME credits.
Instructor Update Course
- 1 day course offered to Instructors to update to a new ATLS manual edition.
Approved for Physicians Extenders
- Physician extenders (PEs) are nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Courses approved for PEs allow these non-physicians to participate in the course without expecting or receiving verification of successful course completion; level of participation is at the discretion of the Course Director and S/P COT Chair. The number actively participating PEs is limited to 25% of active participants.
