Title: Founders of Private Clinics and the Early History of the ACS
Description: The founders of famous private clinics including the Mayo Clinic (William J. Mayo 1861-1939/ Charles H. Mayo 1865-1939), Cleveland Clinic (George Crile 1869-1943), Lahey Clinic (Frank Lahey 1880-1953), and Ochsner Clinic (Alton Ochsner, 1896-1981) were influential in the activities of the A.C.S. during its founding and early years. Speakers from the respective clinics would review the activities of their founders in influencing the history of the A.C.S.
