Renewal Cycle: Biennial - Renew by January 31 of even or odd numbered years depending on group assignment

|
The Florida Board of Medicine requires licensees to earn 38 CME every two-year renewal cycle.
Prevention of Medical Errors course must contain the five most mis-diagnosed medical conditions in Florida for the previous two years.
All physicians registered with the DEA must complete two hours of Board Approved Controlled Substance Prescribing continuing medical education each renewal period.
Physicians must complete 2 credit hours addressing Domestic Violence every third renewal cycle (six years).
Each licensee shall complete a board-approved one-hour course on human trafficking by January 1, 2021.
If you are renewing your license for the first time, you are exempt from the general CME requirement and are only required to complete two hours of Preventing Medical Errors and one hour of HIV/AID continuing medical education.
