CME Requirements At-A-Glance

     Biennial – Licenses expire on October 1 of every even-numbered year

State-Mandated CME Content Detail




Licensees are required to complete 50 hours of Category 1 CME every
two-year renewal cycle. For all Physicians who prescribe controlled substances,
three of the 50 hours of Category 1 CME are required to be on the subject of
opioids, and .5 of the 3 hours are required to be on the subject of the
Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).
