State-Mandated CME Content Detail
|
Osteopathic physicians must earn a total of 35 CME Credits annually, with a minimum of 10 being earned through AOA Category 1A or AMA Category 1 activities.
REQUIRED ANNUALLY- Two (2) hours of CME in abuse of controlled substances, the prescribing of opioids or addiction.
EVEN YEARS ONLY: Two (2) credits in ethics, pain management or addiction care.
SUICIDE PREVENTION REQUIREMENT: Two (2) hours on evidence-based suicide prevention and awareness within TWO years of licensure; THEN two (2) hours completed every FOUR (4) years thereafter.
