Renewal Cycle:
MOC Track 1: All certifications expiring pior to 12/31/2020 - Ten-year CME cycle based on certification start/end dates
MOC Track 2: All certifications expiring 12/31/2021 or later - Two-year CME cycle

CME Requirements Detail
|
MOC Track 1 Diplomates whose current certificate expires prior to December 31, 2020 must complete 250 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ during the 10-year MOC cycle. A minimum of 80% of the CME activities must be specific to Ophthalmology. Participation in a Patient Safety activity is encouraged.
MOC Track 2 Diplomates whose current certificate expires on December 31,2021 or later must complete 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ every two years, of which 16 must qualify as Self-Assessment. At least 80% of the CME activities must be specific to Ophthalmology. One Patient Safety activity must be completed during every 10-year MOC cycle.
