Note: When CS Site-Specific Factor 1 is coded 020, separate tumor nodules in ipsilateral lung, different lobe, the values of T and M for AJCC 6 staging are assigned as shown in this table. The T category is determined by the CS Tumor Size and CS Extension codes. CS Site-Specific Factor 1 code 020 maps to M1 in AJCC 6 staging. CS Tumor Size codes 997, diffuse involvement of lobe, and 998, diffuse involvement of the entire lung, both map to T4.
