Note 1: According to AJCC pathologic tumor size is an important prognostic factor. The three dimensional tumor size (length, width and height) is also an important factor that will be collected if recorded in the pathology report. Record the largest dimension of tumor size in CS Tumor Size. Record the second largest tumor size in SSF1 and the third tumor size in SSF 2. Only record from the pathology report; do not use clinical imaging sizes.
Note 2: Record size as recorded in pathology report. Tumor size recorded as 4.0 cm x 3.0 cm x 2.0 cm is recorded as follows:
              CS Tumor Size: 040
              Site-specific Factor 1: 030
              Site-Specific Factor 2: 020
Note 3: If the ONLY information regarding tumor size is the physician's statement of the "T" category, assign 996 (T1 [NOS]) or 997(T2 [NOS]). (Refer to the CS Extension table for instructions on coding extension).
